My boyfriend, Chris, and I have been long time lovers of this small food joint, and I figured why not share the calories with you guys! The restaurant’s name is d.b.a. café and wine bar. It is located right off of Federal Highway, between Sunrise and Oakland Park, right next to Wholefoods. It's one of our “go to” food spots when we are in the mood to dine out!

I have never had a bad experience dining in at d.b.a. cafe, and when I write "experience", I mean the food has always been delicious, the staff is always cool, and atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It’s just a good time whenever we eat there! The restaurant offers a delicious variety of food, for example: breakfast burritos, duckfat buttermilk biscuits, spicy rigatoni pasta, thai green curry served over jasmine rice with beef tenderloin, and the list can go on. They have a pretty darn diverse menu that they describe as “modern eclectic”.

d.b.a cafe is open for dinner every day of the week and offer an awesome brunch on the weekends. The selection of wine and craft beers is good, and they offer the oh so famous bottomless mimosas on Saturday and Sunday! So, if you’re of the legal drinking age it’s a nice spot to sit outside, or inside, and have a cocktail or two with some friends.

The atmosphere is super laid back and the servers and employees are just the same. The feel of the restaurant is very comforting. It almost feels as if you're casually over your best friend’s house for dinner and drinks. One of the cute and quirky qualities that I love about d.b.a is that instead of using the traditional black or white handkerchiefs, they use random cotton fabrics with different designs. How creative! I love it!

Pictured below you’ll see the bone marrow appetizer Chris and I shared this past Sunday. It came with a honey Dijon sauce drizzled on top of the bone marrow, and was paired with focaccia bread that had a bacon marmalade sauce on top of it. My mouth is still salivating at the thought. The bone marrow was just so tender and light! Then, after we finished our starter, we ordered the pork belly quesadilla (sorry! I forgot to take a picture,) which in our opinion is a pretty big portion for one person, so we shared it. The quesadilla was stuffed with cheese, red and yellow peppers, and the delightful pork belly. It came with a sour cream siracha drizzle on top and pico de gallo on the side. The pico de gallo added a semi sweet kick to it- oh so good! I’m telling you, this place is a total hidden gem! You need to check it out!

I’ll link the website below and if you decide to eat there...Well, you're welcome in advance!
