Hi everyone!

It’s been awhile! As stated in Yvette’s blog post, a lot has been going on recently in our lives, and we kind of fell off the bandwagon. Nonetheless, we are back on it and posting again! So let’s just dive right into it…

Let’s talk restaurants! Specifically, an extremely small and laid back hidden coffee shop called The Alchemist. Located close by in Wilton Manors, this place is a gem! I heard a buzz about it a while back and then totally forgot about it! But one Sunday morning, my boyfriend and I couldn't decide where to get breakfast and voila! a light bulb flashed through my head and I remembered this place.

Here’s my review:

The coffee? Yummy but bitter!

The food? Pretty good!

The presentation? Recycled and cool!

The atmosphere? Private and quiet! The price? Affordable!

Everything seemed to be made of used repurposed items. The food was presented on raw wood (everything was wrapped with paper) and the coffee cups were made with old glass jars, metal ,and the handles were carabiner hooks.

We both ordered coffee and a "slicer". I ordered the turkey and swiss slicer with a bullet proof coffee. My boyfriend got the Nutella and banana toast (which is not listed on the website) with a regular coffee. It was all pretty good! A simple meal, but nonetheless good.

The inside reminds me of an old lab with bubbling flasks and test tube looking glassware. The outside is very green and looks like a mini garden with a dining area. There is a very unique feel to this place and is unlike any coffee shop around! If you're looking for a cafe that is different from any other you should definitely check The Alchemist out!
