A Floridians Winter Wardrobe...

Hello All! Let's talk fashion.
Winter's still here, we have quite a ways until March 19th. However, for us floridians it's never cool enough outside to wear a parka or long johns, but we still try our best to use our winter wardrobe, and express our cold weather "fashion sense". Here in the sunshine state, if temps reach anything below 70 degrees, you'll see the Uggs and scarves making an appearance. Some of us, whether because we travel, or just because we like the fashion, tend to have a cold weather wardrobe. I have to admit, I am a "cold weather wardrobe- in warm climate" offender. There's just something about fall and winter clothing that makes me happy and warm inside (and outside too)! The way I look at it, you can always layer more clothes on to keep warm, but if you're hot, you can only take so many articles of clothing off before you get arrested for indecent exposure. I personally don't particularly look good in orange, and therefore prefer not to go to prison. Currently I'm crushing hard on AllSaints. The dark colors and casual yet put-together style is just so perfect. It has that rough edge but classic appearance. Pricing is a bit steep for the average persons budget (at least it definitly is for mine). So tread carefully on selections, or you may have some shoppers remorse after checkout. But they usually have great sales, and if you can find a local outlet store, SCORE! Right now outlet stores have an additional 30% off of all purchases, and everything in the outlet is already marked down, not sure how long this is going to last, but it is A-MAZ-ING! Here are a few of my favs right now:
Above you see the "Hemming Leather Biker Jacket" I am IN LOVE with this jacket. I actually saw it for the first time at the AllSaints in Edinburgh, Scotland while I was on my honeymoon back in November. The quality is amazing and it looks gorgeous on. It is deifnintly perfect for a colder climate with some layers added on. Very versatile, and a great key piece for a "cold weather collection". However, at a hefty $685, I couldn't validate the expense. However, if I had the cashi-lu-lu to blow, I would have...
This is the "Giri Dress", I actually purchased this little number at the AllSaints in Aventura (which is not an outlet store, but had a great sale going on the day after New Years, and if I am not mistaken, it's still going on...) It's quite short in reality. I'm a "thicker" shaped lady over here. I definitely have curves. So for ladies with similar shapes, I do recommend this, but to wear as a tunic with leggings or skinny jeans. I don't recommend it as a dress. You may show more than you bargained for. Also, for those of you that are in the other 49 United States, or anywhere else on this planet that actually experiences the change of seasons, this may not be the best item for the winter. Its definitly a lighter piece and will not keep you warm, at all.
Leather and faux leather inserts seem to be a staple in fashion this past fall and winter. I saw it everywhere, and really appreciate it. It was a nice edge on some more conservative pieces. This V-Neck is the Abel T-Shirt. It's got the leather inserts only on the upper shoulder/collar area, which I think is just enough without being abnoxious. It's long enough to wear with skinny jeans or leggings, or even leather pants, and the v-neck isn't so plunging the girls are coming out. It's the perfect balance. Love it!
Below I'm going to add some of the other AllSaints pieces I really like. All the images are linked back to the AllSaints page so that it makes it easier for you to check out if you're interested.
