Learn how to make these DIY chalkboard champagne flutes!

What you'll need:

Plain Champagne Flutes

(Ikea : 6 for $3.83)

Chalkboard Porcelain Paint (your color of choice)

Paint stirrer

(Home Depot : Rust-Oleum Specialty $9.67 for 29oz)

Blue Painters Tape

(Home Depot: Scotch Blue 0.94 in. x 60 yds. $3.93)

Painting Brush

(Home Depot: Martha Stewart 3/8 in. and 3/4 in. Stencil Brush Set $5.97)

How to:

1. Make Sure the Flutes are clean and dry.

2. Open up the jar of paint and mix it with your stirrer VERY well.

3. Take all of the champagne flutes and place the rim of the blue painters tape on the location of the flute you want the paint to end.

4. One by one, dip the champagne flutes into the paint jar. Allow the paint to drip off the flute (turn it a bit to make sure the paint drips off evenly). It should leave an even coat of paint, distributed evenly, on the flute. Take your time on this part!

5. If there are any bubbles with the paint brush paint over the bubbled area to even it out.

5. Place each flute face down.

6. Do this for each champagne flute.

7. Let them dry for 24 hours.

(Optional to put them in the oven but not necessary- directions are on the can of paint)

Once Dried (Optional)

Write each person’s name on the top of the chalkboard area.

OR

You can leave chalk nearby for them to write their own name and be creative with it!

Additionally, once they are dry, feel free to write underneath the flute the event the date or whatever your heart desires!

*Personally, I love the chalkboard markers! I got mine at Michaels!

Enjoy!
